چکیده
Background: The development of bacteria that have been resistant to antibiotics can complicate the treatment process. Either causes antibiotic resistance is inappropriate use antibiotics. Gentamycin an aminoglycoside-derived which its role very significant for gram-negative bacteria. Repeated gentamycin cause changes effectiveness so non ESBL-Gentamycin susceptible Escherichia Coli will change into coli. Objective: This study aims prove repeated exposure in vitro ESBL Coli. Methods: was experimental with 30 samples coli isolates identified from Phoenix. Non ESBL- tested by giving 14 days, then screening Cefotaxime results exposure. Result: There were 4 experienced phenotype rest it still on days 2, and 10. Furthermore, both those had phenotypic become after exposed as screening. are 8 (26.7%) 18 (60%) transformed Isolates (13.3%) Gentamycin-resistant obtained all Cefotaxime. Conclusion: not significantly related (P = 0.550, Phi=0.237). Keywords: coli, Susceptible, Resistant, Gentamycin,

Surveillance for antibiotic resistant Escherichia coli in food animals.
A successful surveillance program for antibiotic resistant Escherichia coli in Australia should account for the heterogenous nature of the food-animal population. Studies that rely on measurements made on several hundred isolates can only satisfy limited objectives because they risk imprecise and biased estimation of the presence and distribution of resistance traits. Observations on a larger n...

Mutations causing antibiotic resistance usually incur a fitness cost in the absence of antibiotics. The magnitude of such costs is known to vary with the environment. Little is known about the fitness effects of antibiotic resistance mutations when bacteria confront the host's immune system. Here, we study the fitness effects of mutations in the rpoB, rpsL, and gyrA genes, which confer resistan...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequences of Antibiotic-Resistant Commensal Escherichia coli
Antimicrobial resistance is a significant public health issue. We report here the draft genome sequences of three drug-resistant strains of commensal Escherichia coli isolated from a single healthy college student. Each strain has a distinct genome, but two of the three contain an identical large plasmid with multiple resistance genes.
